What is the difference between custom and ready made blinds?
Ready made blinds come in fixed sizes and often need cutting down, which can leave gaps and an uneven fit. Customised blinds are made to your exact width and drop, in the fabric and operation you choose, so they fit the window cleanly, control light properly and last longer. The difference shows most on larger windows, sliding doors and anywhere the sizing is not standard.
Can custom blinds be motorised?
Yes. Most of our blinds can be made as motorised blinds, controlled by remote, wall switch, app or voice, and powered by battery, mains or solar. Motorisation is a popular upgrade for large, high or hard to reach windows and for anyone who wants a clean, cordless finish. We help you choose the right control and power option at quote stage.
Are your blinds child-safe?
Yes. We make and install blinds to the Australian safety standard for corded internal window coverings, with chains tensioned and secured to the wall so there are no loose loops within a child’s reach. For nurseries and play areas we usually recommend a cordless or motorised blind, which removes the cord completely for the safest result.
Can I get different blinds to match across the home?
Yes. Because each blind is customised, we can run a coordinated look across the whole home while choosing the right fabric for each room, such as blockout in bedrooms and sunscreen in living areas. We can also pair blinds with curtains or sheers on the same window and match the colours so the whole house feels considered.
